Food & Nutrition National Bioscience Research Infrastructure

Danielle attended the Food & Nutrition National Bioscience Research Infrastructure (Food & Nutrition NBRI) Stakeholder Engagement Event earlier this year. The Food & Nutrition NBRI acts as a coordinating hub for food data collection, datasets and tools used by academics, those working in industry, healthcare, government and consumers. A key part of this recent stakeholder meeting was to generate discussion on how McCance & Widdowson’s compositional dataset is currently being used. We need your support and feedback!

Empowering a healthy menopause

We support International Women’s Day, when we are encouraged to “raise awareness about discrimination” and “take action to drive gender parity”, under the hashtag #InspireInclusion. With a focus on menopause, we call for parity in gender research and targeted research in women in the menopausal age range.

Six takeouts from a fantastic FIO food workshop

Danielle travelled to Edinburgh to join the Food Stakeholder Impact Group Workshop for the UKRI funded FIO Food project which is focused on food insecurity in people living with obesity.
