The Role
This technical development role is with a leading global ingredients supplier, who provide solutions for major food and nutrition brands. As a Product Developer with at least 2 years technical development experience, you will be highly capable in formulation development, creating nutritional pre-mixes (vitamins, minerals, functional ingredients and sports nutrition products) and incorporating them into a variety of products, supplements, powders, drinks etc in ways that deliver excellent flavour profiles. This role will also involve customer engagement, as understanding their needs and integrating these within the formulations you develop will be key to success.

You will ensure products created meet regulatory, quality, safety cost and sustainability requirements, manage and mitigate risks; owning the process right from concept through to implementation and continuous improvement. You will lead conversations with clients, scope, develop and convert concepts into great tasting products in the development lab and support their implementation within internal production facilities or via external co-manufacturers.
Must Have Skills and Experience
- BSc (or higher) Food Science, Food Technology or similar subject
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in product development in food or consumer healthcare.
- Strong technical knowledge of ingredient functionality, including but not limited to vitamins, minerals, flavours, colours, covering additives, and sweeteners and in the development and manufacture of premixes, nutritional products, or food supplements.
- Passion for sustainability, food innovation and continuous development
- Great communication and client engagement skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across scientific, regulatory, and commercial teams
