You will be responsible for providing technical and regulatory assistance on food policy issues and providing timely updates on technical and regulatory developments of interest to the UK food and drink industry. You will need to be able to analyse, summarise and disseminate technical and legislative documents. You’ll work with various stakeholders to develop work plans within agreed budgets, organise meetings, gather data and develop policy position papers. You’ll also need strong organisational and administration skills and experience working with committees.
Fundamental to this role are great communication skills, strong prioritisation and admin skills and a willingness to take responsibility for projects.
Must Have Skills
- Knowledge of food policy, technical and regulatory issues
- Experience working with committees
- Strong organisational and administration skills, including accounting competence
- Great communication skills, written and verbal
- Good ability to make and sustain a range of working relationships
- Responsible self-starter
At least 1 year of industry or trade body experience
