Anna Wheeler RNutr – Co-Founder
Anna started her career at a trade association and has since held various positions within multinational companies Unilever and Coca-Cola Great Britain – in local and global roles, catering, technical, communications and stakeholder engagement. She has worked on products including spreads and drinks and most things in between. Anna started her consultancy business, Anna Wheeler Nutrition Limited, in 2017. She chaired the Nutritionists in Industry (NII) group for over four years, was Secretary before that and still sits on the committee, believing it to be important to give back to the nutrition profession. Anna has led health professional communications and stakeholder engagement programmes, worked on major TV campaigns and helped bring household name products to market.
Prof Danielle McCarthy RNutr – Co-Founder
Danielle obtained a PhD in the area of Diet, Cardiovascular Disease & Diabetes. Her experience spans academic research, pharma, food manufacturer and digital tech. She has also worked in Food Retail as Head of Nutrition at Sainsbury’s and established her own Consultancy Business – Live It Up Ventures Ltd. Her cross-industry career has included leading Human Intervention Research Programmes, delivering successful funding applications and bringing together unique consortia, developing Product and Health Claim pipelines and Designing & Implementing large scale Health Strategies for Business across all food categories. Danielle is also Chief Health Officer at Spoon Guru.
Kate McCulla – Freelance
Kate was delighted to join the Nutrition Talent team in April 2022, and shares Anna and Danielle’s passion for all things nutrition! Kate works as a dietitian, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). In an unconventional career path, she started out in accounting before being drawn towards the world of nutrition. On completing an MSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics in 2002 (Ulster University, Coleraine), Kate worked for 15 years in the NHS, specialising for the majority of that time in weight management. Kate has been working as a freelance dietitian since 2015, giving the opportunity for more diverse experiences, including one-to-one consultations, facilitating in the delivery of behaviour change programmes, and undertaking further education, most recently becoming a certified intuitive eating counsellor.
