The Role
We are looking for a visionary leader who has the blend of scientific authority, business acumen and leadership skills required to direct a global not for profit research organisation. You will implement the strategic, scientific vision; drive communications, membership engagement & growth; and nurture a positive organisational culture.
You will provide organisational, scientific and operational leadership; act as the organisation’s principal ambassador; and inspire a small, capable team to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based outputs. You will ensure strong governance, financial sustainability and clear organisational priorities.

Must Have Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant senior-level experience
- Minimum MSc in Nutrition & Health, Public Health Nutrition, Food Science (nutrition focus) or related biological/health sciences
- Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) preferred
- Proven ability to set organisational direction, ensure good governance and deliver successful outcomes
- Strong management, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage a team, liaise with the organisation’s board, senior business leaders and members globally
- Demonstrated scientific expertise and knowledge in nutrition science, ideally with expertise in carbohydrates and health
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex evidence
- Experience managing or overseeing collaborative scientific projects and research programmes
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and media engagement
- Ability to be a confident and credible ambassador for the organisation
- Strong scientific credibility and global networks
- Awareness of international nutrition and public health policy frameworks
- Fluent in English (written and oral); additional languages advantageous, particularly Spanish
